Temperature is an important indicator of the electrical equipment conditions. An accurate fault diagnosis can be performed by using temperature profile surface. Infrared thermograph has gained more attention and becomes interesting method in due to its advantages. This paper presents a review different methods image segmentation (clustering algorithms) applied infrared which been used get useful information from power system for faults detection, classification localization.
